Indigenous Experiences
|
Indigenous people in Australia belong
to many diverse cultures and no two are the same. There are over 365
language groups in Australia and more than 60 in Western Australia
alone. They have adjusted to changing times, but still hold traditional
cultural beliefs and values, especially in remote/rural communities.
Cultural heritage, spirituality, family lines, dance and dreamtime
stories are a vital part of life. In Perth, you can listen to
Noongar Radio
on 100.9FM . Throughout WA you can enjoy a diverse
range of Authentic Indigenous experiences ranging from traditional dance
and dreamtime stories to contemporary history, bush tours and art. To
help you find these experiences visit the

The Kodja Place
The Kodja Place is the result of the district’s
cultures working in harmony with a single goal. An architecturally designed,
purpose-built rammed earth building houses a multifaceted display of
artefacts, stories, interactive displays, exhibits, pictures, and
entertaining hands-on devices adjacent to a spectacular Rose Maze.
